Crown Insulate Spray Foam has been removing spray foam insulation across Weston super Mare since 2022. We work on lofts, attics, roof slopes and cavity walls where polyurethane foam has been sprayed directly onto the underside of the roof covering. Our crews cut the foam out, bag it, and dispose of it under a licensed waste transfer note. Most lofts are cleared in a single day.
We are a small Somerset firm, not a national franchise, so the person who quotes your job is usually on site when the work happens. We cover Worle, Milton, Uphill, Locking and the villages out to Winscombe and Churchill. If you need spray foam removal near me open now Weston super Mare, we run an out-of-hours line for emergency call-outs and water ingress after storm damage.
Every job starts with a survey, not a sales pitch. We check the foam type, the timber condition and the roof ventilation before we quote, because open cell and closed cell foam come out differently and price differently. Whether you need a single loft cleared in Weston-super-Mare Town Centre or a full warehouse roof stripped in Weston super Mare Somerset, we scope it honestly and tell you what the timbers look like underneath.

Roof Spray Foam Removal
Foam applied directly to the underside of tiles or slates. We work from inside the roof space where possible, cutting in strips and lowering waste through the hatch rather than stripping the roof covering.

Open Cell Spray Foam Removal
Open cell foam is softer and comes out faster, but it holds water like a sponge. We remove it, dry the timbers and check for loft condensation before anything new goes back in.
Explore →
Closed Cell Spray Foam Removal
Closed cell foam is dense and bonded hard to the substrate. We cut it in sections with a spray foam removal saw, then clean residual adhesive from the rafters so the timber can dry properly.

Mortgage Lender Spray Foam Removal
If a lender has refused a mortgage due to spray foam, we remove the foam and provide photographic evidence and a written summary of the timbers. That paperwork is what surveyors and valuers ask for.

Dry Ice Blasting Spray Foam Removal
For listed buildings and delicate substrates we use a dry ice blasting machine, which lifts foam residue without grit or water. It is slower than cutting but far kinder to old brick and timber.

Cavity Wall Spray Foam Removal
Foam injected into cavity walls can bridge the cavity and trap damp. We open the wall at intervals, extract the foam, and check the wall ties while we have access.

Used on hard masonry and concrete soffits where foam has been sprayed thick. Our sand blasting equipment is run with full extraction and COSHH controls to keep silica dust contained.

Removing foam is only half the job. The other half is proving the roof is sound afterwards, because that is what lenders, buyers and surveyors actually want to see. We photograph every stage, note the timber condition and hand you a report that stands up to scrutiny.
Every removal is documented with dated photos of the rafters before, during and after. Valuers and surveyors get a clear record of timber condition, ventilation gaps and any rot found, which is usually what unblocks a stalled mortgage.
Our operatives hold CSCS cards and PASMA certification for tower work, and we run to CHAS and SafeContractor standards. COSHH regulations govern every chemical and dust control measure on site, and we carry full public liability cover.
You get one price for the removal, the waste transfer and the clean-down. If we open a loft and find timber rot from trapped moisture, we stop, show you the photos and price the extra work before we touch it.
We inspect the foam, the timber and the roof ventilation, then quote a fixed price. You get a clear scope in writing before any cutting starts, plus an honest view on whether removal is even necessary.
Dust sheets go down, the loft hatch gets sealed, and we set up an industrial vacuum and negative pressure so foam dust does not drift into your bedrooms. Respirators and protective clothing are worn throughout.
We cut the foam in controlled sections with a spray foam removal saw and oscillating multi-tool, then lift it out through the hatch. Dense closed cell foam is cut in blocks; brittle foam is softened first.
The loft is vacuumed and swept, timbers are checked for rot, and we run a thermal imaging camera over the roof slope to confirm ventilation is restored. You get the photo record and waste note the same week.

Most people call us for one of four reasons: a mortgage has stalled, the loft smells damp, the roof cannot breathe, or a surveyor has flagged the foam. All four come back to the same thing, foam sprayed directly onto timber with nowhere for moisture to go.
Ask a pro →We remove the foam, photograph the timbers and produce a written summary your valuer can work from. Most lenders want proof the roof structure is sound and ventilated, and that is exactly what the report shows.
Foam traps moisture against the timber, so we strip it out, dry the rafters and restore the ventilation gap. We check the vapour barrier while we are up there and tell you if it needs replacing.
Where rot has started, we cut back to sound timber, treat the affected rafters and document the extent with photos. If a structural repair is needed, we tell you before we start rather than after.
Buyers pull out when a survey flags foam. A clean removal with a full photographic record and waste transfer note gives their solicitor and lender something concrete to sign off on.
